To celebrate the opening of Hickinbotham's new display home village, Hickinbotham held a Family Fund Day on Sunday 22nd October 2006 from 12.00pm to 5.00pm. 

The Family Fun Day took place at Barossa Estate, a master-planned development designed to replace the unique heritage of the region.  The estate, located off Research Road at Nurioopta, features five new display homes architect-designed specifically for this estate.  The Family Fun Day involved amusements, produce and displays of interest to the whole Barossa Community and was be supported by advertising and media coverage.
